Silicon slag is a by-product of silicon metal smelting. A mixture of silicon (45%~65%) and other components (such as C, S, P, Al, Fe)
How to produce silicon slag?
Silicon slag refers to the remaining part after refining the raw ore, which is a by-product of the production process of metallic silicon and ferrosilicon.
Silicon slag can be deep processed into agglomerates, lumps, or powders according to customer requirements
Silicon slag is much cheaper than pure silicon metal and has many industrial applications.
1. Silicon slag is a good substitute for ferrosilicon in steelmaking and can reduce production costs.
2. The silicon slag powder can be made into pellet-like silicon powder, which has a broad market at home and abroad. It can significantly increase furnace temperature, effectively increase fluidity and discharge iron slag.
3. Si slag can be used as deoxidizer in steelmaking.
